What about Support?

Support before, during, and after a search can be crucial to some. ISC Consultants consider this an essential element of a search and will advise you every step of the way. They may refer you to a local search and support group, if one is available, to a therapist, if requested, or to someone who has faced the same dilemma or situation. Each consultant is aware that the physical search is only one facet.

How are People Actually Located?

The answer to that question usually lies in the amount and quality of information which can be assembled, both before and during a search. There are innumerable public records, found in libraries, repositories, county, city and state offices, churches, on microfiche, computer disc and so on. ISC Consultants have spent many years learning how to access records of all kinds, to identify and locate individuals through these records. Any of these types of records can be used to augment the basic data available to form a profile of someone sought and, hopefully, to pinpoint a current location of that person(s).

What is ISC's Success Rate?

Our reported statistics state that approximately 95% of searches are solved, some as old as 60 years! The successful location of individuals and families depends, of course, on the information available from the searcher and from other available sources. At times searches are solved in a matter of days; at other times they may take months or even years, in rare cases. There is just no way to predict! But we can assure you that every consultant will use all records, resources and contacts available to bring your search to an expedient end. We've been there and we know the desperation that often permeates every aspect of one's life.

What is the Cost to a Searcher?

An important question! Independent Search Consultants does not set fees for independent consultants; each consultant sets his or her own fees, in accordance with the projected difficulty of the case. The consultant will inform you, up front, of the cost (usually very reasonable), and will more than likely ask that both of you enter into a written agreement, for the protection of all. This agreement is not a guarantee of successful completion of a search, but rather a guarantee that you are getting the very best search help and reliability. If, at any time, you feel you are not receiving the assistance you hoped, you may contact ISC directly to intercede with the consultant.
